Jean Monnet ( 9 November 1888 – 16 March 1979) is a French political economist and diplomat. He is regarded by many as a chief architect of European unity and one of the founding fathers of the European Union. To honor this remarkable person on occasion of 125 th Anniversary since his birth Dr. Irina Sikorskaya, Administrative Director of JMCE at DSUM gave the lecture to MA students of our University majoring in finance and audit and who don’t touch European studies in frames of their core academic program.
The lecture was held on November, 8, and was devoted the history of the EU in general and how The European Union itself maintains memory Jean Monnet with the Jean Monnet Programme of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture, which promotes knowledge on European integration on a worldwide scale, especially at the university level.
