On April, 9, Donetsk State University of Management hosted International Scientific-and-Practical Conference “Problems and Perspectives of Increasing Effectiveness of Business Processes at the European Markets and Regulatory Activities in the EU”.

Academic Coordinator of Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at DSUM Dr. Prof. Ludmila Batchenko greeted the participants of the Conference.

Among honored guests at the Conference there were Prof. Hamed Alavi from Tallinn Technical University (Estonia), Mr. Andrey Videnov (Bulgaria), Expert on Post-customs Control and Audit of EU Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) and Mr. Jerzy Darowski (Poland), Coordinator of Union of Ukrainian-Polish NGOs of Association of Agencies of Regional Development of Ukraine and Poland.

After the Conference our guests also had an opportunity to meet with students and teachers of the University. On April 10, Mr. Andrey Videnov met with teachers and MA students specializing in international economic activities management and delivered the lectures on actual issues of customs regulation of foreign economic of Ukraine and the EU countries.

Mr. Jerzy Darowski specializes in environmental management, so he was invited to meet the students and teachers of Dept. of Environmental Management who listened with interest to his lecture on “Environmental consciousness of society as a key to sustainable development of the region”.

Prof. Hamed Alavi on April, 11-12, visited Dept. of Sociology of Management and Dept. of International Economic Activities Management. His lectures covered actual issues related to student employment in Europe and also leadership as an integral part of the education of future managers.
